March 3, 2017 (Phildelphia, PA): The American Council of Engineering Companies of Pennsylvania (ACEC/PA) selected Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson, Inc. and the City of Philadelphia Streets Department to receive a 2017 Diamond Honor Award for the Guaranteed Pavement Information System (GPIS) Application .
GPIS is a system developed by JMT for the City of Philadelphia Streets Department to replace their Right of Way Street Opening Coordination and Paving Operations Management System. JMT provided a custom solution that parallels the approach utilized in the design and development of multiple systems focused on roadway project management, asset management, online licensing, and online permitting.
The GPIS solution assists users within the City to add and search streets projects, assign project locations, identify conflicts, support utility clearance requests, manage recurring events, provide automated notifications, integrate with other agency systems, manage user access, and generate reports.
The Diamond Honor Award recognizes projects that have significantly strengthened infrastructure, enhanced public safety, raised the engineering profession’s profile, and offered sustainable, economical solutions for Pennsylvania clients and citizens.
JMT received the award on March 2, 2017, at the ACEC/PA Diamond Awards for Engineering Excellence gala event at the Lancaster Convention Center Marriott at Penn Square.
