JMT to Present at Mt. Vernon GIS Symposium on “Mapping Segregation: How Racially Restricted Housing Shaped Washington, DC”

On February 19, 2015, Brian Kraft, JMT Technology Group’s in-house historian, will present on a historical mapping segregation project that will result in a layered, dynamic, interactive online map showing the historic segregation of Washington DC’s housing, schools, recreational facilities, and other public venues. This is a collaborative effort of Prologue DC and JMT, and the talk will take place at 10:30 A.M. at the George Washington National Library at Mt. Vernon.

The team is developing an interactive map that will show the impact location had on various racial groups throughout the history of our nation’s capital. The Mt.
